Hydrogen, oxygen and Brown's gas: what each one brings to your wellbeing
VIVAIR Pro generates all three. Here's why molecular hydrogen interests science so much, what oxygen brings and how to combine them in your routine.
Molecular hydrogen
Why hydrogen interests science so much
The smallest molecule
With no electrical charge, it crosses membranes and reaches the inside of the cell, the mitochondria and the nucleus.
Selective antioxidant
Research describes it acting on the most reactive free radicals while sparing the ones the body needs to function.
Activates your own defences
It has been described as stimulating the Nrf2 pathway, the "switch" for the body's own antioxidant enzymes.
Leaves no residue
Whatever isn't used is breathed out. Your own gut already produces hydrogen every day.
Studies in people
What studies in healthy adults have observed
There are hundreds of publications on molecular hydrogen. These are some studies carried out with healthy people, the scope of a wellbeing routine:
- Breathing hydrogen before exercise · Dong et al., International Journal of Sports Medicine, 2024Randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 24 healthy men: after breathing hydrogen-rich gas for 60 minutes before cycling, they perceived less fatigue and effort and had lower lactate at the end.Open
- Hydrogen and oxidative stress · Sim et al., Scientific Reports, 2020Randomised, double-blind trial in healthy adults who took hydrogen for 4 weeks: better antioxidant response, especially in people over 30.Open
- How much hydrogen reaches the blood · Ono et al., Medical Gas Research, 2012When breathed, blood hydrogen rises for about 20 minutes and stays stable for the rest of the session.Open
- Safety of breathing it for days · Cole et al., Critical Care Explorations, 2021Healthy adults breathed air with 2.4% hydrogen for 24 to 72 hours in a row without relevant adverse effects.Open
Oxygen
The oxygen outlet: richer air for your calm moments
While it generates hydrogen, VIVAIR Pro also produces 600 ml/min of oxygen, which comes out of its own outlet. Breathing it through the cannula enriches the air you inhale while you read, meditate, focus on work or rest.
Many people associate it with a feeling of clean, fresh air and deeper, calmer breathing. It's an ideal complement to meditation and mindful breathing.
This is a wellbeing use: it does not replace medical oxygen. If your doctor has prescribed oxygen, always follow their instructions.

Brown's gas
Hydrogen and oxygen together, as they form water
If you connect both outlets with a T-shaped cannula, you breathe hydrogen and oxygen at the same time in the same proportion in which they form water: two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen (1,200 + 600 ml/min). This is known as Brown's gas or oxyhydrogen.
It's the way to make the most of everything VIVAIR Pro generates in a single session.
You choose
Three ways to use VIVAIR Pro
- 01
Hydrogen
Cannula on the hydrogen outlet: 1,200 ml/min of H₂ for your moment of rest.
- 02
Oxygen
Cannula on the oxygen outlet: 600 ml/min of O₂ to meditate, focus or breathe calmly.
- 03
Brown's gas
Both outlets at once with a T cannula: hydrogen and oxygen together.
With common sense
A few simple rules to enjoy it with peace of mind
Use VIVAIR in a ventilated room, away from flames, candles, cigarettes and heat sources, and uncovered. Oxygen and hydrogen fuel combustion: these rules apply to all three uses.
VIVAIR is a wellbeing device. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or take medication, talk to a healthcare professional first.
